So for Valentine's day Joseph went down to Tooele to help his dad with his flower shop. I had pretty low expectations for the evening, I figured he would come home completely sleep deprived do some homework and hit the sack. But sweet boy that he is he actually had a 'living room picnic planned'. He brought home Chinese take out and the movie August Rush and a present too. Heat packs, which I use all the time and am very grateful floor.
Also the bank gave me flowers so I had a pretty great day all in all!!
On a separate note here are some pictures from my baby shower down in Jo-town. Thanks a million to my mom and sister-in-law for throwing it. And also to my cousin for the fantastic cake. it was a lot of fun. I feel as though I should write a whole bunch about it....but I'm both tired and starving so I'm not going to. Sorry, it doesn't mean I'm not grateful
This game was pretty fun (it would probably only work in a town like ours but I liked it). There were pictures of me, my sisters, my mom and all my aunts on her side of the family and the guests had to guess who they all were. It was fun to see who could figure it all out.
I also loved the dipper advice. Guests wrote advice on a bunch of dippers for me, some of which was very useful and a lot of it very funny.
Here is our latest dumping of snow.
And here are some pictures I told Tory I would post of our adorable nephew in her hat.
And here is a short antidote that I find very funny about the above adorable child.
While we were in Joseph (the town) for the long weekend Joseph (the person) was out at the barn with Kace (he's two) and Kole (who is six these days) playing in the mud. Andy and my dad needed to pull a calf, so Kole took it upon himself to explain to Kace that a baby cow was going to come out of the mama cow, and if it wouldn't come Pappy was going to pull it out. Poor little Kace's eyes went huge and his jaw dropped as he yelled a high pitched and horrified, "Whaaaat?". A question he just keep asking in horror for rest of the experience as he stared at the cow in utter disbelief. Poor little kid, its hard to learn the facts of life so young. The story only got funnier when right when he got home I grabbed his hand and put it on my stomach because the baby was kicking and excitedly told him, "Feel that Kace, that's you baby cousin!" He was NOT quite as excited as me and pulled his hand away and ran to his mom. Later when I asked him if he wanted to feel the baby he gave me a look of pure terror and yelled "NO!" I couldn't get him to come anywhere near me the rest of the trip, though when we were leaving he did finally get close enough to awkwardly pat my shoulder in a long distance hug that would keep him as far as he could stay away from my belly.
He is a smart boy, and I'm sure he's put some of the pieces together on how it all works, but he's also only two. It kind of makes me wonder how much of it he's got right. Does the think they're going to pull the baby out of me like they did a cow? Guess we'll never know but it was pretty funny.
I copy and pasted the above story from an e-mail to my aunt and uncle, so I don't know how to fix the font issue...sorry.
Now I'm going to eat and take a nap like pregnant people should. The End.
